Why We Built Pagla Tool

Every year, millions of young people across Pakistan and India apply for competitive examinations, college admissions, and government recruitment drives. Whether submitting an application to FPSC (Federal Public Service Commission), PPSC, NTS, or NADRA in Pakistan, or applying for UPSC, SSC, IBPS, NEET, or JEE in India, every candidate encounters the exact same obstacle:

"Photo size must be strictly between 20KB and 50KB. Dimensions must be exactly 3.5cm x 4.5cm. Signature must be under 20KB with a clean white background."

Students without expensive photo editing software are often forced to visit internet cafes or use questionable online converters. These commercial converter websites frequently upload sensitive biometric portraits, government ID scans (such as CNIC and Aadhaar), and personal signatures to unknown foreign servers where data may be harvested, logged, or exposed in data breaches.

We created Pagla Tool to permanently solve this problem. Our platform provides high-precision image compression, signature cleaning, passport photo generation, and PDF merging—completely free of charge, with zero server uploads.

How Our 100% Client-Side Architecture Works

Traditional online image tools follow a server-side pipeline: you upload a file to their server, their server runs a script (like ImageMagick), and you download the result back. This consumes high bandwidth, is slow on mobile connections, and poses massive privacy vulnerabilities.

Pagla Tool takes a modern, decentralized approach:

  • In-Memory Processing: When you select an image, the browser reads it directly into local memory via JavaScript FileReader and Blob APIs.
  • HTML5 Canvas Manipulation: Resizing, cropping, and contrast enhancement are executed on your device’s GPU and CPU.
  • Binary Search Compression: Our algorithms dynamically compute the exact quality parameters necessary to hit target sizes like 20KB, 50KB, or 100KB without blurring candidate faces.
  • Instant Local Download: The finalized output is rendered as an in-browser Object URL (blob:) ready for instant saving to your phone gallery or desktop folder.
